Low-income individuals seeking homes they can afford have a tougher time in Las Vegas than any other city. When families and seniors struggle to afford a decent home, they risk falling behind in education, health, financial stability, and community engagement.

 

In Southern Nevada, low-income households are severly burdened with the high costs of housing. In fact, 22% of these Las Vegas renters spend at least half of their income on housing. When budgets are stretched thin to cover housing, families and seniors make tough decisions between shelter and other basic necessities.

 

At Nevada HAND, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a safe, secure and affordable home. Since 1993, we have created nurturing environments by developing, constructing, and managing vibrant affordable apartment communities for low-income seniors and families in Southern Nevada.

 

We offer supportive Resident Services at each of our properties to aid vulnerable individuals and families improve key parts of their lives. Resident Services Coordinators encourage personal choice and nurture self-determination among residents by providing them with a range of resources, services, referrals, and activities that directly address the needs of our residents.

 

In one year, Nevada HAND Resident Services provides over 5,500 people with access to tools that enhance their lives.
