The New Hampshire Wildlife
Coalition (the Coalition) has championed responsible stewardship of predator
species for nine years. We have attempted to moderate the excessive take
of New Hampshire’s furbearing carnivores like the fisher, red fox, gray fox, and
the coyote. We believe these iconic species are vital to healthy ecosystems.
Yet, the perception of these carnivores as nuisances and varmints persists
among many of the NH Fish and Game Commissioners, and attempts at changing New Hampshire
Fish and Game rules have met an unyielding barrier. We have put more effort
into legislation and will continue to take concrete action and push harder for
change. Educating others about carnivore species is crucial for dispelling
myths, fostering respect, and promoting coexistence, which are essential to a
balanced ecosystem. 

This is where you come in.

To successfully change rules through legislation, we have strategically added key personnel:

• A part-time social media expert to amplify public awareness and build support for our cause. We estimate that only 10% of New Hampshire’s population knows that most of these predators can be shot at will for most of the year.


• A part-time administrator who will build our advocacy efforts.


• A dedicated consultant to help us educate and engage legislators and foster legislative support for our mission.

Transitioning from a volunteer-run organization to one with
