New Horizons Crisis Center is a 501(c) 3, nonprofit organization based in Richfield, Utah. NHCC has been providing services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and dating violence since its founding in 1989. Guided by our mission, “Encircle, Educate, Empower”, NHCC has continually expanded its programs to meet the ever-evolving needs of survivors in the rural communities we serve.

NHCC is the primary provider of emergency shelter and outreach services for Sevier, Wayne, Piute, Millard, and Sanpete counties, covering a service area of over 13,000 square miles. We serve individuals and families across a large rural region, ensuring support is available even in communities with limited access to resources.


Emergency Shelter

We provide safe and confidential shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence and sexual assault. Our shelter is available 24/7 and offers a secure place to stay along with basic needs, crisis intervention, and advocacy. Men who need a safe place to stay can call our 24-hour crisis hotline for assistance. Our team works closely with each individual to support their immediate safety and healing.


Outreach & Support Services

We offer a wide range of free and confidential services to support survivors, including:

  • 24-hour crisis hotline for immediate support

  • 24-hour mobile crisis response

  • Confidential crisis intervention counseling

  • Victim advocacy and case management

  • Assistance with protective orders

  • Court accompaniment

  • Transitional housing and housing assistance

  • Support groups for adults and children, including parenting and community classes

  • Referrals to additional community resources
