New Meadows Senior Citizens, Inc., is known by many different names, but many residents just refer to us as “the seniors'”. However, we are so much more than that:

  • we provide regular programs, clinics, and events
  • our building is available for community meetings and gatherings
  • our seniors are active, as we plan regular travel outside of Meadows Valley
  • our home-cooked meals are often the talk of the town!

We serve over 230 people each month, providing meals for the community three times a week. Other weekly events include bingo, pinochle, & table games--the center also boasts a pool table and a Wii. Holiday gatherings, including a Valentine's Day Dinner, Halloween Spook-tacular, and Christmas Dinner are all hosted as well. The New Meadows Senior Citizens’, Inc., is the hub of social entertainment for a significant portion of Meadows Valley’s population, and we are dedicated to providing services that we see as essential for our local residents.

The Senior Citizens’ building hosts a monthly Foot Care Clinic, bringing in a traveling nurse who provides medical assistance to those afflicted by diabetes and other ailments. A regular Hearing Care Clinic is held every three months. In the upcoming months, the NMSC plans to start a twice-weekly exercise program in June, on Monday and Wednesdays, we will be announcing the times at a later date.

The Senior Citizens, Inc., also owns a 12-passenger travel bus which provides a vital mode of transportation to local seniors wishing to visit amenities in the Treasure Valley. Once a month, the Senior Citizens travel to a metropolitan location in order to shop and run other assorted errands. Travel locations have included Boise, Nampa, Ontario, and Weiser for the annual Fiddle Festival.

However, the recent federal sequester and state budget cuts have drastically reduced our financial support, leaving the future of the New Meadows Senior Citizens, Inc., in serious peril.

Your donations and contributions are essential to continuing our programs, events, and services.  Please donate today, and considering contributing to a monthly giving plan for the New Meadows Senior Citizens, Inc.
