New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation, Inc.

The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation (NOHHF) is a Louisiana nonprofit community organization whose main purpose is to provide an effort in cultivating and promoting the Hispanic Heritage of New Orleans and the Southern region. The most important tool that the Foundation uses to achieve these goals is its Scholarship Program. We also support local artistic and cultural activities, particularly those related to or associated with Hispanic heritage themes and the New Orleans community.

Since 1993 the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation has awarded over 1311 high school and freshman-year college scholarships to high-achieving low-income students who attend schools in our area and go to distinguished Higher Education Institutions in our Country. These students go on to be responsible leaders and make substantial contributions to the betterment of our community. The NOHHF Scholarships program recruits selects and grants more than 80 scholarships yearly to low-income high school students residing in South Louisiana. It interacts with over 23 participating schools and also interacts with selected universities in Louisiana and out-of-state. Due to the present economic situation, the Foundation expects to substantially increase the number of high school students who will be receiving scholarships.
