Newborns in Need Eastern MO

Newborns in Need (NIN) is a national organization, with chapters in many states. Newborns in Need provides baby essentials for premature, sick, and needy babies through hospitals, pregnancy help centers, family crisis centers, maternity homes, and social service agencies. All items are provided without charge. Newborns in Need is a volunteer organization. All the Babies of Eastern Missouri chapter (Eastern MO) was founded in 2008. We provide handmade blankets, hats, booties, bibs, burp cloths, diaper bags, and sweaters as well as purchased diapers, wipes, baby care items and other baby essentials, and as needed, beautiful burial gowns. Newborns in Need helps worried and overwhelmed parents with their baby's immediate essential needs. We focus on serving the unserved or underserved babies in St. Louis and the surrounding area. In 2023, we provided over 24,000 items to 41 agencies.

As a volunteer organization, members have a variety of reasons to join Newborns in Need. Some want to give back to the community. Some may have had a premature baby. Some may have lost a child. Some may simply enjoy making items for babies but have no one to make them for. Whatever the reason, our common goal is to help babies in need.
