NextUp is excited to launch our Step Up for NextUp crowdfunding campaign! Now through November 29, 2016, you can support our organization as we continue to provide high-quality after-school programs to underserved Richmond middle schoolers.

The Need

There are over 400 children in NextUp programs at Henderson, Lucille M. Brown and Boushall Middle Schools. Every student is growing from invaluable lessons in art, STEM, sports, health, leadership and life skills.

With NextUp partners, students gain up to 15 hours a week of enriched learning time throughout the school year. The annual investment per child is $4,000, or $1,333 per session. $333 provides a student with much-needed computer training and $125 ensures a child has safe transportation home all year. 

NextUp programs are completely free for our kids – this is where you come in.

 

Why Support NextUp?

Youth who participate in high-quality after-school programs improve school attendance, behavior and grades. Last year:  

• 60% of our students improved or maintained positive school attendance
• 84% improved or maintained positive behavior
• 65% improved 1 letter grade or maintained a C or higher in English and Math
