NicaLove is an animal welfare organization serving animals and those who care for them in the most vulnerable communities in Nicaragua.

How we do what we do:

• We partner with local animal welfare organizations to rescue and rehabilitate both domestic and working animals.

• We offer wellness clinics to provide health care and sterilizations to working and domestic animals

• We connect with local individuals within the community to provide for overlooked needs

• In 2023, NicaLove opened the doors of its shelter in Nicaragua, to better support our mission.

This year, your generosity will drive our most ambitious outreach yet—bringing veterinary care directly to animals in the hardest-to-reach areas.

Help us Expand Mobile Outreach Clinics!! Our veterinary partners are ready to hit the road—bringing vital care directly to animals who need it most:

Working Horse Clinics  – Delivering essential services to working cart and carriage horses that otherwise lack access to veterinary care. Services include dental treatment, hoof care, wound management, vaccinations, and parasite prevention.

Mobile Spay/Neuter & Preventive Care – Expanding mobile surgical and wellness outreach to reduce pet overpopulation and improve the health and well-being of stray and owned animals in underserved rural communities.

Outreach in Municipal Landfills and Underserved Communities 

Since 2019, we’ve worked inside Nicaragua’s municipal landfills and surrounding high-risk communities—some of the most overlooked and hazardous environments—to deliver lifesaving veterinary care. This includes humane population control through spay/neuter initiatives and essential medical treatment for animals with no other options.

Support for Shelter Rescues 

More than 300 rescued animals currently reside at our shelter. While numbers may change, our commitment never does. Your support ensures each animal receives safe shelter, nutritious food, medical attention, and compassionate care—for as long as they need it.
