Nicholtown Child and Family Collaborative

The Nicholtown Child and Family Collaborative (NCFC) aims to create a community-based, two-generation community center in a high-needs area of Greenville, South Carolina known as Nicholtown.  NCFC was established to provide services for the children and families of Nicholtown to improve child outcomes; provide parent training, education, and employment; and build lasting community infrastructure.

Improving the Greenville community by improving one child at a time is the focus of NCFC.  The Nicholtown community is an urban area with more than one-third of all households below the poverty level.  Nicholtown's long-term education experience is a mirror of the national education gap.  Nearly 27% of adults have no high school diploma and less than 14% of adults hold a bachelor's degree or above.
