NIFLA is the national leader in the development of legal guidelines to help Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs) convert their operations to licensed medical clinics.  Today NIFLA serves a network of over 1,350 life-affirming PRCs including nearly 1,000 Pregnancy Medical Clinics (PMCs).  

Through the provision of medical services, including ultrasound confirmation of pregnancy, PMCs open a window to the womb to women in an unplanned pregnancy impacting their decision for life.  In 1990, the abortion rate reached its peak at 1.6 Million per year.  The most recent statistics show that rate has dropped to 1.1 Million.  Ultrasound is having an impact!

In addition to providing training for medical professionals in the Pregnancy Medical Clinic setting, NIFLA provides legal training and resources that ensure pregnancy centers operate according to best practices under national guidelines and state and federal laws.  These PRCs and PMCs provide immeasurable services and resources to their communities at no charge to their clients.
