Nile Swim Club of Yeadon

The Nile Swim Club (NSC) exists to provide the ultimate recreational, leisure, educational and overall wellness experience for individuals and families. We offer a safe place for youth to develop healthy relationships and thrive to become leaders. The NSC cultivates the human spirit and nurtures family and community unity.

The Nile Swim Club is a member owned and operated 501c3 non-profit corporation in Yeadon, PA.  The Club was established in 1958 when two African American families applied for membership at the racially exclusive Yeadon Swim Club, located in the suburbs of Pennsylvania, and were denied. In response, Yeadon's African American community decided to build its own private swim club that welcomed all races. For 60 years the Nile Swim Club has provided the community with a safe place for families to enjoy the summer.

The Nile Swim Club accomplishes its mission through the following programs and services

• Health and Fitness Activities including Swimming, Yoga, Water Zumba,
• NCWDOT-No Child Will Drown In Our Town - FREE Summer Swimming Lesson Program designed to improve water safety and swimming ability in our youth, while reducing the number of drownings within the African American Community.
• Entertainment and Community Engagement Programs including Annual Crabfest and Community Day
