No Time to Spare Animal Rescue and Sanctuary

NTTSARS generally rescue dogs on their last day of life or dogs needing significant medical attention. The animals we rescue receive the necessary veterinary care and are placed for adoption in their forever homes. Those who cannot be adopted will remain in our sanctuary as permanent residents for the remainder of their natural life. We also promote the importance of spaying and neutering through educational programs. In addition to rescue and sanctuary, we strive to keep companion animals with their families during financially difficult times by providing temporary pet food assistance.

NTTSARS is 100% funded by donations and every dollar earned or received goes to the care and treatment of the animals in our rescue or to further our community assistance mission.

No Time to Spare is a 501c3 non-profit, no kill animal shelter and sanctuary which is licensed and regularly inspected by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. The shelter has ALWAYS passed inspection and maintained good standing since its incorporation 10 years ago. The owner, Carol Risley has worked in the animal welfare industry for 29 years. She has established this shelter on her property because there are no other shelters in the County. I believe that having a safe place for people to bring unwanted animals promotes the health, safety, morals, comfort and general welfare of the community.

Over the past 3 years in Warren County we have successfully adopted out over 1000 dogs, reunited hundreds of lost pets with their owners. We have provided hundreds of families with pet food and supplies, spay or neuter, vaccines, microchips, emergency veterinary care, education on proper pet care and training of their pets to help them stay with their families and in their homes. We have been called out by Warren County Sheriff's Dept and local Police Departments many times to assist/rescue horses, potbellied pigs and dogs. These animals may be running at large, neglected, hit by a car, or involved in a traffic accident where EMTs didn't have anywhere to take the dog. Further, sometimes when a suspect is arrested, a dog will be in the vehicle with the individual. In those situations we have been contacted by law enforcement to hold the animal until it can be retrieved. We answer these calls at all hours of the day and night because there is nowhere else for law enforcement to turn.

We do our best to provide as many services as possible to the county and citizens even though we receive no government funding of any sort.
