WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Dr. John Urban Bond, Founder & Creator of Total Health Heroes, practiced as a dentist in Dallas. His innovative marketing featured exciting cartoon superheroes and villains of his creation. Mascots were made and starred in entertaining and educational Oral Health Education Programs, popular at schools and events across the Dallas Metro area.

Mighty Molar, Bacteria Boy, Hallie Tosis, Ginger Vitis and Canine really got around! Here they are taking a well-deserved break from the action.

Leaving dentistry and returning to north Louisiana in early 2019, Dr. Bond discovered many in his hometown area were experiencing obesity related poor health. He felt a calling to expand on the Dallas program with a comprehensive and fun Total Health initiative for Louisiana and beyond.

"I've seen my parents and grandparents struggle with obesity-related illnesses. My mother had a triple bypass at the young age of 45. Interestingly, it was the fact that she had just begun to take control of her health, through diet, exercise, and weight training, that she even learned about her heart disease! During her workouts, she began to experience chest pains. A trip to the doctor revealed the almost complete blockage of 3 valves! They called it a widow maker and it changed the way I thought about health and fitness. Had she never decided to start working out, she may have never known about the silent killer.
