Nor-Cal Breast Cancer Connection

Nor-Cal Breast Cancer Connection is a community effort dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education, support, and connection.  This year we celebrate 30 years of serving our community!  

Early detection is the best defense against breast cancer.  When caught and treated early, breast cancer has a higher survival rate.  Breast cancer can strike anytime: young and old, family history or no family history, healthy and unhealthy women or men.  Through outreach, education, and community support in our Far Northern California communities (Shasta, Siskiyou, Modoc, Lassen, Tehama, and Trinity Counties), NCBCC educates the importance of annual mammograms, monthly self breast exams, and other early detection tools while helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of breast cancer.

NCBCC holds annual fundraising and awareness events:  Golf Classic, Pink 5K Walk/Run, Car Show, Pink Sundial Resource Fair, and the Annual Bag & Calendar Event.  We attend local health fairs and education events as well.

NCBCC offers the Breast Cancer Detection Fund, an allocated funding source to directly assist anyone who is uninsured, underinsured, or for whom cost is a barrier to receiving necessary diagnostic testing.  We believe cost should never stand in the way of early detection. 

NCBCC is in partnership with The CLUB (Community Lifting Up Breasties), the first dedicated breast cancer support group in our community.  The CLUB offers peer support, survivor mentorship, quarterly support meetings, educational workshops, and meaningful connections for individuals affected by breast cancer.
