Solving Family Homelessness - One Family, One Community at a Time

Solutions offers parents and individuals the opportunity to rise above their challenges—addiction, domestic abuse, trauma, codependency, chronic unemployment, mental and behavioral health issues—out of dependency and into freedom. Through their transformation, they reunify with their children, gain and retain employment, build their financial savings, secure housing, and live a productive, stable life.

Solutions for Change has empowered over 4,300 moms, dads and  children out of The Churn since 1999. The Churn is what we call the cycle of hardship, temporary relief, and dependency that keeps people stuck in poverty. But through our revolutionary programs that give students the resources to grow in every area of their lives, they break The Churn and escape the cycle.

Our three programs work together to holistically solve the root cause of the challenges families are facing, so future generations can live without the burden of poverty, dependency, and instability. 

1. Solutions Academy - Transforming Lives

Solutions Academy is a comprehensive 700-day vocational program that prepares families for lifelong success through work experience, career pathways, leadership training, family management skills, teamwork, financial literacy, personal development, accountability, and connection.

2. Solutions Enterprises - Workforce & Economic Development 

We equip Solutions Academy students with the employment skills, knowledge and resources to work within their community and successfully support their family. We deliver highly motivated, teachable, mission-focused workers by training them as they work for our social purpose enterprises, like a state-of-the-art aquaponics farm and transformational workforce housing projects.

3. Solutions in the Community - Community Development

We partner with local organizations to tackle tough issues our public asks us to take on. We say it's where a community's toughest problems meet its toughest Overcomers!
