Since 1988, the Northern VA Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons (NVRC) has been the area’s leading source of information and education about hearing loss.

NVRC’s resource center serves as a community center for the deaf and hard of hearing, and is a popular venue for clubs and groups to meet and socialize.

NVRC’s community outreach work on hearing loss awareness and technology is focused on those aging into hearing loss. We have an aging population and the number of those with hearing loss has doubled in the past 30 years. Our presentations are informative and easy to follow, helping people cope with the impact this invisible condition has on our day to day lives.

NVRC’s website and eNews service post current articles on all aspects of deafness and hearing loss. Our website also sponsors a calendar featuring events and activities beneficial to our community.

NVRC’s Celebrate Communication, is the area’s premier expo for those with hearing loss. This well attended fair is held every two years highlighting technology, local resources, clubs and social events for the deaf and hard of hearing community.

NVRC’s ongoing programs and services constantly adjust to address the immediate issues deaf and hard of hearing people face. Your donations help support and keep this vital service strong. Thank you for helping us make a difference and for your commitment to our mission.
