The Northampton Center for the Arts has been without a permanent home since July of 2013. From a transitional downtown office, we continue to fulfill our mission to the artistic community. The Center is the fiscal sponsor for Arts Night Out and Pioneer Valley Jazz Shares. The Center is the producer of First Night Northampton. The Center is working with the Northampton Community Arts Trust to design new creative spaces and develop a truly sustainable management plan at 33 Hawley Street where we are facilitating classes, organizing special events, and supporting both resident companies and emerging artists. The Center needs your financial commitment more than ever during this challenging period of change.

We are a private, non-profit organization, established in 1984 as the result of a public/private partnership between the City of Northampton and the developers of the former D.A. Sullivan School complex in downtown Northampton. For almost 30 years, the Center’s ballroom and galleries served as affordable, accessible venues for performances, exhibitions, arts-education programming and community gatherings. The Center has been a unique and valuable resource, encouraging participation in a variety of expressive forms and producing quality events that bring people together in celebration of creativity.
