Northcott Neighborhood House, Inc. was created in 1961 and is still supported by the United Methodist Women of the United Methodist Church, the Wisconsin Annual Conference United Methodist Church and General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church.

Northcott Neighborhood House, sponsored by the Women’s Society of the Methodist Church, opened in September 1961. It is a multi-service center similar to the old Settlement House located in Milwaukee’s black community. Its goal was and continues to cultivate, coach and mentor grass roots leadership at the neighborhood level.
