Northern Tier Industry & Education Consortium

Support Tioga County Students! 

The Northern Tier Industry & Education Consortium (NTIEC) was founded in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit school-to-work organization dedicated to serving students across the Northern Tier by bridging the gap between education and employment.

Our mission is simple but powerful:

To create a highly skilled workforce in Northeastern Pennsylvania by integrating school, employment, and training opportunities.

We believe students who gain first-hand exposure to real career opportunities are better equipped to make informed educational and workforce decisions, decisions that strengthen not only their futures, but our local economy as well.

Today, NTIEC collaborates with:

• 350+ employers
• 23 school districts
• Certified teachers, educational coordinators, and career coaches committed to expanding Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities

Through internships, job shadows, externships, summer career experiences, and hands-on industry programming, we are actively preparing students for in-demand careers right here in our region.

Why Raise the Region 2026 Matters

As a small nonprofit organization, we rely on community support to:

• Reduce costs to participating schools
• Expand access to career programming
• Ensure every student, regardless of background, has access to meaningful workforce experiences

During Raise the Region 2026, we are specifically seeking funding to support our student internship program in Tioga County.

This year, more than 200 students are participating in internships across our service area. Funds raised will directly benefit students in:

• Northern Tioga School District
• Southern Tioga School District
• Wellsboro Area School District

Your support will help local students gain real-world experience, build employability skills, and connect with employers in their own community while strengthening Tioga County’s future workforce.
