Give Families the Support They Deserve

Every family deserves the tools, knowledge, and support to help their loved one with a disability thrive.

At Northshore Families Helping Families (NFHF), we make that possible.

We serve families across St. Tammany, Washington, Tangipahoa, St. Helena, and Livingston Parishes—providing free guidance and resources they need to build independence, increase opportunity, and feel included in their communities.

What Your Donation Makes Possible

NFHF is more than a resource center—it’s a lifeline.

Because of your support, families can receive expanded assistance:

  • One-on-one, family-to-family support from people who truly understand
  • Critical information on healthcare, services, and disability resources
  • Clear, trusted guidance on IEPs, 504 plans, IDEA, and Louisiana laws
  • Access to webinars, trainings, and advocacy tools
  • Ongoing connection through newsletters, workshops, and a lending library

Our team doesn’t just do this work—we live it.
Every staff member has a personal connection to disability, bringing compassion, insight, and real-world understanding to every family we serve.

Your Gift in Action Expands Services

  • $25 helps provide trusted resources to a family searching for answers
  • $50 supports a parent with one-on-one guidance during a critical moment
  • $100 helps a family prepare for and navigate an IEP meeting with confidence
  • $250 funds workshops and trainings that reach multiple families
  • $500+ expands access to ongoing support, advocacy, and life-changing resources

Every dollar brings clarity, confidence, and connection to a family who needs it.

Why It Matters

Families come to NFHF overwhelmed and unsure where to turn.

They leave with confidence, knowledge, and someone in their corner.

Voices from the Families You Help

“They have a wealth of knowledge and resources… but more than that, they supported us through both the challenging and rewarding moments of parenting a child with special needs.”

“They gave us the confidence to find the right resources for our granddaughter—something we wouldn’t have had without them.”

“They were not just a resource—they were a lifeline. They listened, encouraged, and walked alongside me so I never felt alone.”
