We provide educational tools, advocate for local and federal change, and team up with diverse stakeholders to achieve a common goal: To safeguard the food, air, land and water that sustains us all!

For nearly 40 years, NCAP has collaborated with individuals like you - parents, farmers, activists - to reduce pesticide use and exposure in communities across the Northwest.

Our Healthy Food and Farms program is based in Idaho and continues its strong emphasis on providing educational forums focused on alternatives to pesticides. Our network of supporters has helped us accomplish the following in the last year:

  • 85 farmers and agriculture professionals learned about organic fertility management and other topics at NCAP’s annual winter conference in Idaho.
  • 133 fruit growers learned about alternatives to managing mummy berry disease in blueberries and spotted wing drosophila.
  • 2 organic farms demonstrated organic methods of site preparation prior to planting habitat for pollinators and other beneficial insects.
  • 44 farmers and other agriculture professionals attended a field day to learn about organic methods of site prep and beneficial insect habitat installation.
  • 3 years of trials completed with Oregon State University and a collaborating grower to improve cultural practices for managing mummy berry disease in blueberries.

With your support, we can do even more. Your voice is needed to realize our common vision of protecting people and the environment by advancing alternatives to pesticides. By making a gift to NCAP, you are empowering people in communities both small and large to lead the way toward a healthy, environmentally sustainable future.
