Northwest Center Inc

The Northwest Center consists of two distinct programs which offer complementary services to address critical, unmet needs in our community.  Low-income pregnant and parenting women in the DC area are faced with many challenges which can be crippling when faced alone.  These challenges and needs include, but are not limited to, safe and affordable housing, necessary medical care, employment and education, parenting resources, and material assistance.  Both our Pregnancy Center and our Maternity Home programs strengthen and support families, particularly women and children, who are at risk for infant mortality, child abuse and neglect, homelessness, inadequate food and medical care, domestic violence and continued life in poverty.  The Northwest Center strives to be more than a “band-aid” solution; it aims to affect real and lasting change in the lives of those we serve. By working together we can help these individuals meet these needs, face these challenges and progress towards self-sufficiency and a safe, healthy life for themselves and their children.
