NPower increases the representation of underserved young adults in tech by building a pipeline of diverse talent to meet the growing need for IT workers in the US. We provide tuition-free, hands-on training, and industry-recognized, tech certifications for young adults (aged 18-26) and transitioning service members from under-resourced communities. We provide critical social supports, direct job placement services, and lifelong professional development opportunities to ensure trainees have the fundamental tools and opportunities to be successful and reinvest in their families and communities.

Our unique model moves a participant to a mid-income tech career in 6 months. We assist trainees throughout this early stage of their careers and continue to provide critical support through advanced training offerings, mentorship supports, networking, and professional development opportunities across their life trajectory. NPower's foundational, 20-week Tech Fundamentals program is a metrics-driven, participant-centered solution to the lack of quality job opportunities for non-traditional job seekers. This model is holistic: we emphasize trainees' technical skill development and core workplace competencies, while offering wraparound social supports to help trainees overcome common barriers to educational and career success. Alumni of the program graduate with the skill set of an IT professional with 1-2 years of experience. Following graduation, NPower provides lifetime professional development supports including one-on-one mentorship, advanced training/certification offerings, and critical networking opportunities.
