The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is a national nonprofit committed to the development of our nation’s future leaders and model citizens. With s large network of student and alumni members nationwide, our mission is to provide opportunities for personal and professional development through leadership opportunities, community service activities, career and internship support, the promotion of integrity, and financial support through scholarships and grants.

NSCS members are active members of their communities - as volunteers, professional mentors, role models and influencers of positive change.

Here’s a look at some of the many ways NSCS members are making a difference. In the past year…

  • Over 500 NSCS members participated in a Relay for Life event.
  • Over 2,300 NSCS members mentored local youth in their community.
  • Nearly 5,400 NSCS members volunteered through a charity fundraiser, food bank, blood drive or other community service activity.

Why Donate to NSCS?

NSCS members pursue efforts - and often-times careers - which give back to their community and peers.  Tough economic times and growing individual demands make it difficult for anyone to pursue lesser-paying fields and to support community services. Tuition costs are rising - 15% between 2008 and 2010 – and creating obstacles to student engagement in civic activities.

NSCS works to provide opportunities for development for our members, and to support them financially through merit-based scholarships and grants. From 2008 to 2011, the monetary amount of scholarships and grants provided by NSCS rose from $240,000 to over $550,000.

Your donation will increase the amount of financial support we may provide and help us reach our goal of awarding $750,000 in scholarships and grants in 2013.
