Nevada Health Centers Inc. is founded on the principle that all people, regardless of where they live or their ability to pay, have the right to quality health care services.

NVHC operates 19 health centers throughout Nevada; they are located in the frontier areas of northeastern Nevada and extend to the heart of our urban center in Las Vegas.  We provide care to everyone.  Our goal is to reach the geographically isolated and the uninsured.  Funding to support our efforts comes from the Federal Health Resources and Services Administration, but this federal money is not enough!  Community support is critical for NVHC.  Your donations will be used directly to help patients in need.  NVHC has three areas where support is urgently needed: 1) The Nevada Health Centers Mammovan, 2) Immunization for Children program and 3) NVHC’s Dental Program.

Nevada is still in the midst of economic challenges and we have one of the highest unemployment rates and highest uninsured rates in the nation.  Where can Nevadans who are low-income and uninsured obtain health care?  Nevada Health Centers has an affordable sliding fee schedule for the low-income and uninsured patients.

Mammovan: Just recently a woman in rural Nevada who lost her job was relieved to access our mobile mammography services, thanks to the Mammovan.  When she lost her job, she lost her health insurance. She was concerned because she needed her annual mammogram and getting a mammogram was particularly important because she has a strong family history of breast cancer.  She not only did not have insurance, she did not have money to travel to a mammography center.  Thanks to Nevada Health Centers Mammovan she was able to get a grant funded mammogram at no cost to her in her own community.  Donations go a long way to give women peace of mind.

Immunizations for Children:  NVHC is working in partnership with both the Northern and Southern Nevada Immunization Coalitions to improve immunization rates for children in Nevada

Dental Care: Dental care is direly needed for the uninsured throughout Nevada.  It is a well known fact that poor oral health can cause poor physical health.  Poor dental health can prevent people from getting jobs and can cause social isolation.  Children are particularly vulnerable and many experience lost school time, challenges learning and impaired nutrition and health. Nevada Health Centers Ronald McDonald dental program brings dental care directly to children in their neighborhoods.  Many have never seen a dentist before.  Our two fixed dental sites are located in Las Vegas and Elko.

Communities where Nevada Health Centers has health facilities: Armargosa, Austin, Beatty, Carlin, Carson City, Crescent Valley, Elko, Eureka, Jackpot, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Wendover.

You can help Nevada Health Centers provide health care to some of the most vulnerable people in our state by contributing.  You can make a difference in someone’s life.   You can ensure that an uninsured woman gets a needed mammogram, a child receives an important immunization and that oral health care is available to those who have the highest need.
