Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board

A job for every worker. A worker for every job. That's the core mission of the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board (WFWIB). We are a nonprofit organization composed of appointed leaders from the business, education, and labor sectors of Westmoreland and Fayette counties. Our role is to connect individuals seeking employment with businesses in need of skilled workers. The WFWIB oversees three PA CareerLink® centers-Westmoreland County at Youngwood, Fayette County, and Alle-Kiski-which serve as regional hubs for comprehensive workforce services. These centers offer free support with job searches, career services, and training programs, helping individuals gain the skills necessary

Workforce development is important to Westmoreland County's future. As the job market changes, many people need help finding the right training and support to build successful careers. Some areas still face challenges like an aging workforce and the need for more skilled workers. Donations and support for programs in Westmoreland County help close these gaps by preparing young people and adults for good jobs, helping local businesses find the workers they need, and creating more opportunities for everyone. Every dollar helps improve lives through education, training, and job support.
