The Oasis Sanctuary is a unique life-care facility, dedicated to providing permanent care, shelter and rehabilitation for parrots and other captive exotic birds. The Oasis is often all that stands between life and death for these beautiful, sentient and endangered companion birds.

As a true Sanctuary, The Oasis does not breed, adopt out, sell or trade birds. Once a bird enters the doors of Oasis, they are guaranteed a lifetime of care and compassion.

Today, we are home to over 700 exotic birds. Many faced euthanasia due to the loss of a caregiver, physiological impairment, handicaps, behavioral unsuitability, old age, abuse or lack of other home placement options. The longevity of these intelligent, social, highly complex, exotic animals establishes the absolute need for a unique facility to provide care for the lifetime of each bird.

Birds like BJ, a Moluccan Cockatoo, who endured years of neglect which resulted in chronic, severe self-mutilation. Or Rita, a beautiful Congo African Grey that was abandoned in a foreclosed home. And the numeruos Quaker Parrots that continue to be smuggled into the United States via California where they are prohibited as pets....

EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES HAS A UNIQUE PERSONALITY, A STRONG SPIRIT, A CHALLENGING LIFE STORY AND A POWERFUL WILL TO LIVE - OFTEN AGAINST THE ODDS.

To ensure the best social and behavioral environment for Oasis' birds, we are creating naturalistic aviary habitats to provide opportunities for flight and flock support. In addition we provide a nutritious diet of pellets, seeds, nuts and healthy fresh produce, and every bird is provided the best veterinary care by nationally recognized Avian Veterinarians. 

Our first priority is, and will remain, the long-term care, well being and safety of each and every bird entrusted to The Oasis Sanctuary.
