Trees at the Ranch
$0 Raised
Our Day of Giving Goal
With your support, we can achieve our funding goal of $3,000 to purchase and plant trees around our barn and ranch. Several of our trees were destroyed by the recent tropical storm, Hillary. One of our 20-year-old pepper trees was uprooted by the high winds and fell onto our barn.
Our Mission
Ivey Ranch Park is dedicated to encouraging the social interaction of those of all ages, with and without disabilities, by providing care, education, training, and recreation activities. Since 1981 we have served children and adults with disabilities but will not exclude the able-bodied, since integration, inclusion, and interaction are important components of our program. Serving over 275 individuals a week, our essential goals are:
Currently over two thirds of our clients here at Ivey Ranch Park have moderate to severe disabilities which include behavioral disorders, genetic disorders, and disabilities caused by accident or trauma. School age children come for after school, summer and off-track care. The Center also operates an equestrian facility, in-home respite services, and a Community Garden.
Get Involved!
Whether time, money, in-kind donations, referrals, or outreach, the Ranch could use your help. The Ranch relies on donations from the community to sustain the many different programs available to area families. Your support will help us to continue special programs such as Horses for Heroes, Therapeutic Riding, Equine Assisted Counseling, Equine Assisted Learning, and the Working Intern Program (a working internship for adults with disabilities).
