OdySea Aquarium Foundation

A nonprofit organization

As the nonprofit partner to OdySea Aquarium, the OdySea Aquarium Foundation seeks to educate, engage, enrich, and inspire all ages to conserve and protect our planet.

One of the many ways OdySea Aquarium Foundation seeks to advance its mission is through hands-on, experiential education; specifically for students who attend Title 1 schools in Maricopa county. These schools have a high percentage of students whose families don't have extra resources to equitably enhance the educational experiences of their children. Through our field trip program, we aim to bring real change to under-resourced, underserved communities that lack real access to opportunity.

An oceanic adventure, OdySea Aquarium is a unique destination in the Valley and is an extraordinary resource to educate students and raise awareness about the critical nature of conserving the life support system of our planet - our oceans. Through field trip experiences, we have the opportunity to share our collective knowledge, reconnect students to the natural world, and influence the attitudes, emotions, knowledge, and behavior about our ocean ecosystem.

Testimonials

"Honestly, this was super engaging to the kids and I am so excited for other classes to get this opportunity as well. It was well organized, and very thorough in terms of what was covered academically and was really focused on the animals. It was also great to have them interact with the care team. This was amazing. :0)"

"Overall, it was an amazing experience and I know my students completely enjoyed the information and seeing the penguins. It was a nice break and an example of making our "new normal" work."
