Our primary goal continues to be to create, facilitate, and maintain a "Notable" Nordic Venue for the Ogden Area.  We continue to make progress helping Weber County make North Fork Park a 4 season non-motorized trail venue.  This park is well suited for great skiing from November to April and has 20 km of trails.  Situated on the North side of Ben Lomond Mountain at an elevation of 6,000 feet, this park holds great snow and is quite scenic.  In the summer, it offers 15 miles of cool, scenic, non-motorized single track.

Our second goal is to promote and facilitate community participation in the sport of Nordic Skiing.  By providing coaching and instruction opportunities through our Adult Ski Clinics, Junior’s Programs, and Week Night Fun Series, and by hosting community events such as “Winter Trails / Demo Day”, “Moonlight Glides", the Utah Special Olympics, we hope to enable skiers with improved skills and grow a community of active skiers.   We hope you join us as get to know the trails, the snow, and your neighborhood Nordic group.  Watch out... you just might enjoy those skinny skis!

Our third goal is to foster cooperation and collaboration with other trail advocates in the greater Ogden Area.  By working together we can facilitate the enhancement of Nordic opportunities in the winter, and the hiking, biking, running, and riding opportunities in the summer.  A significant part of this is the collaborative effort was to create a Master Trail Plan for North Fork Park.  Now we are focusing on creating the trails in the trail plan.  This plan was drafted in 2004 and is awaiting Weber County’s next step.
