Scholarships tell students that someone believes in them—someone they might not even know—and that’s powerful.  

Last year, funds from Love Utah Give Utah friends helped Banelly Marquez. She took advantage of attending the tech college tuition-free while still in high school but was concerned about tuition payments after graduation. Banelly didn’t have to worry long because the community had already invested in her success. A Presidential Scholarship bridged the summer gap, and, less than 3 months after receiving her high school diploma, she completed the Composites training program. 

Banelly was workforce ready and equipped with advanced manufacturing skills at only 18 years old.  Orbital ATK hired her immediately, and earnings from a full-time job help with her Weber State University education.

You can share in student success by helping other students just like Banelly.  Last year, the collective power of the community lifted 299 scholarship students to the first rung on the ladder of success.
