Old Bridgewater Historical Society

Founded in 1894, OBHS is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and publication of historical artifacts, written histories, and genealogies pertaining to the Colonial settlement of Bridgewater, Massachusetts.  This settlement later became the modern-day towns of Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, and Brockton (previously known as North Bridgewater). 

 

The Society relies on membership dues, donations, and sales of its many publications to continue to offer lectures, demonstrations, and research assistance to members and visitors from near and far.
