$2,165 raised by 29 donors

Our Organization was formed in October of 2013 and is made up of men and women fire buffs, collectors, active and retired firefighters, EMS personnel, and 911 dispatchers.  On January 1, 2015 we were incorporated by the PA State Department as a non-profit charitable corporation and by the Federal IRS as a 501 (c) (3).

This Mission: We are asking for your donations to help restore this 1900 Firefighters Memorial Monument located at the York Fire Museum. The monument is in need of urgent repair. It stands in honor of those York City Firefighters who died in the line of duty. It was originally placed in Penn Park by the Rescue Fire Company to honor all York City Firefighters. Then in 1904, when 4 firefighters from the Vigilant Fire Co. died in a large fire in York City, the monument was given to the City as a Memorial Monument to all York City Firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The monument was moved to the York Fire Museum in the 80's. Please help us restore this historical monument to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Who We Are

This non-profit organization of York County Fire Buffs was formed in 2013 with a goal to preserve the fire history of York County Fire Companies for future generations and to provide educational scholarships to current Emergency Responders to help make our communities safer. We hold an annual York Fire Muster bringing old fire apparatus together to be viewed by young and old. It gives the public the opportunity to see how the fire service has changed in the last two hundred years. We help fire buffs bring old fire equipment back to life so it can be seen as part of our fire history.
