Olivet United Methodist Church

 Olivet Church has been a central part of the Olivet neighborhood from it's start. The first church structure was erected in 1884. The church hall was built in the 1950's and became a place for community dinners, dances, sunday school classes, and even family reunions. The "hall" even served as a factory during wartime, a place for social dances and infamous home cooked dinners that attracted people from miles away.
Today, Olivet Church is still a place for Sunday morning worship, youth and children's ministry community dinners, rummage sales, and neighborhood meetings.

With so much of the "old Olivet" landmarks disappearing, we want to ensure that the next generation has an Olivet to enjoy.
