OnBoard coordinates biennial networking events to facilitate nonprofit board and leadership diversification.  Over the next two years, we also hope to create a selection of online board development resources.

October 8, 2015 is the next event!

Nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to meet 250 diverse candidates who are interested in being on a board and/or committee.

We invite local individuals to participate in this unique event where our "speed-dating" format combines the best of a job fair with a premier networking opportunity. Individuals from a wide range of backgrounds network with over 50 nonprofit and government organizations.

Program
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Participants register for time slots with organizations of interest. When interviews begin, participants will have ten-minute meetings with each organization of interest. This will provide them with the opportunity to connect with leaders as well as ask questions. After ten minutes, participants will be prompted to move on to the next organization's table.

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Social Hour/Networking. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres available.

OnBoard was founded in the mid-1990s by Attorney Ellen W. Freyman of Shatz, Schwartz & Fentin.

Our goal is to facilitate connections between new, diverse talent and the organizations around the Pioneer Valley.  Diversifying boards of directors by recruiting members of under-represented populations can provide organizations with insight into different and innovative ways to engage with the community at large.  We hope to create new relationships for both the individuals and the organizations, which each benefit from the shared resources and experience.

OnBoard has been connecting qualified individuals in the greater Springfield area with organizations seeking leadership that reflects the wide variety of people who live and work in the region.
