Will You Help our Local Organizations Serving the Immigrant Children Taken From Their Parents at our Country's Borders?

Several of the over 2,000 children separated from their families are now living in temporary housing on Long Island, nearly 2,000 miles from where their parents are being detained. 

Right now, our country is in the middle of a humanitarian crisis as we face thousands of immigrant children that we have separated from their parents on our borders.  While this is a national issue, there are local organizations, right here, on Long Island that are offering fostering services, placement services, counseling services and advocacy for these children and their families.

One Island Giving Day Global Issues...Local Solutions will divide all proceeds raised during this fundraiser between these local organizations that work so hard every day on behalf of immigrants living, working and studying on Long Island.  

We know there are nonprofit organizations around the country that are working so hard for every family and child that has been torn apart by America's zero tolerance policy.  We are asking you to support our local organizations that are doing that work.  

After all, Global Issues need Local Solutions too.
