Open Arms Assisted Living Montbello

The Mission of Open Arms Assisted Living: provide person-centered care focused on quality, compassion, understanding, and respect.  

 We are Medicaid Certified and over half of our community members use this resource to pay for their care.  

Our vision is reality. We are providing a homelike environment encouraging independence, individuality, and belonging for 25 adults. We hope to serve a total of 30. Many of the people who live here would otherwise be at risk of being on the street. Some have come directly from previously unhoused.

Assisted Living on average in Colorado costs more than $5000/month, it is common to pay over $20k for a couple's care. The majority of the people who live at Open Arms could never afford this, and yet, the need for care and services is higher than ever. 

The Open Arms Community comes to together with rich life histories and great contributions to our society. We want to help them live dignified and as fully as possible, for the remainder of their lives. 

The Administrative Staff; Care Team Members; Volunteers; and Board of Directors are all involved with Open Arms because they lead with love and purpose to serve-- powerful drivers. A gigantic amount of LOVE makes a project like this possible!

Anyone who has ever been in search of care, support, community, a room to rent they can afford, where they will get their next meal from if they are no longer able to drive, or how they will afford groceries because their medicine was too expensive... These neighbors can find hope at Open Arms Assisted Living. 

Noteworthy: Open Arms shares the land and Church with 4 different congregations spanning a variety of faiths.

This is important to the collective mission because the Churches were in danger of losing the property prior to the creation of Open Arms to fill the once vacant school building that is now the assisted living. 

Open Arms has created jobs and careers for the local Montbello community. Both fulfilling and economically savvy to be able to walk to a job you love in your own neighborhood.

All this to say Open Arms is making a difference every day, creating hope and purpose in people's lives. 

Your contributions will go toward the OAAL Wishlist that has been complied by asking both Residents and Staff, what would make Open Arms Better for them. While this list is specific, we welcome contributions of any size gratefully.
