Opera Kansas Inc

Opera Kansas has diligently been providing opportunities to attend free or low cost performances of chamber operas in professional productions staged locally.  Along with that we have produced educational programs in the local and surrounding schools, including works created for children to perform.  It is also the mission of Opera Kansas to develop artists by providing professional performance opportunities for college students studying the art form.

It is our hope to continue this mission, but costs of producing such performances are becoming hard to meet.  Our plans for the future include taking our traditional "Amahl and the Night Visitors" on tour to communities in Kansas with appropriate performance venues, to develop a more contemporary approach to education in the schools and to produce interesting and entertaining chamber operas for public viewing.

It is also our goal to extend our Patron base to a younger set and we are hoping this project will bring us in touch with young professionals with new ideas and excitement.  Thank you for your help with your donation.
