Opera of the Plains is bringing the magic of opera to the Texas Panhandle in fresh and unforgettable ways. Founded in 2022, our mission is simple: make opera accessible, engaging, and inspiring for young audiences while providing meaningful performance opportunities for emerging artists.

Through reimagined operatic classics paired with familiar fairy tales, we spark joy and curiosity in school-age children—often introducing them to live opera for the very first time. At the same time, we equip young performers with the training and stage experience they need to grow their artistry and pursue careers in music and theatre.
