Operation Catnip of Gainesville Inc

More cats die in America's shelters than all other animals. There are as many as 70 million free-roaming, or "community cats," in the U.S alone. At Operation Catnip, we work to improve the lives of cats and the community as a whole by training veterinarians, mentoring other like-minded animal welfare programs, and bringing our large-scale, spay-neuter and vaccination clinic model to communities across the country.

Directed by veterinarians and carried out entirely by volunteers, including veterinary students, veterinary technicians, and animal lovers, Operation Catnip has sterilized more than 48,000 community cats in Gainesville since 1998.
