Your donation to Operation HELP helps provide emergency funds for rent, utilities and car repairs so that residents of St. Croix County stay in their homes and maintain transportation for employment and other essential trips.
Help is often needed for clients who have medical emergencies, are between jobs, or need a car repair. Because of the support of many, wonderful volunteers who help with client service and other day-to-day operational activities, 87 percent of all funding received goes directly to those programs that support our clients!
In addition your donation will cover the costs of vouchers for free laundry, gas, and healthy produce from the farmers market. Your help will also allow us to restock our Resource Center with a variety of emergency supplies, such as food, toiletries and undergarments.
The generous people of our community have worked hard over the years by hosting several diaper drives for our growing Diaper Program. Your donation will allow us to buy more diapers for low income families.
Our clients and their families struggle financially – 66% of them live below the federal poverty level, which is far below a living wage in St. Croix County.
In 2020 Operation HELP provided support to more than 4,500 individuals and families with referrals, vouchers or emergency financial assistance - a record number of clients.
We recognize that there are many more families who need the support of our programs and services -- families that we are not reaching today -- and we will continue to work hard to make sure people are cared for.
