Operation Patriot

Operation Patriot was founded in 2004.  Operation Patriot, Inc. was formed in 2007 as a non-profit corporation in the State of Florida.  We are a 501(c)(3) public charity.  All contributions are tax deductible under Section 170 of the IRS Tax Code. 

In 2004, Operation Patriot delivered 28 boxes and 11 bags of donations to the Veterans at Baldomero Lopez.   

As of November, 2017, our all volunteer organization has delivered over 4100 boxes of donations and more than $8500 in gift cards to the 120 Veterans at Lopez.  

Throughout the year we sponsor parties, barbecues, and special events for the Veterans.  We provide large screen televisions, computers, internet access, Skype, and Netflix.  We have been honored to be Guardians for two of our residents to go on an Honor Flight. 

We provide seven entertainers each month at Lopez. Encouraging the Veterans to stay active and involved is very important for their well being.

In August of 2016 we partnered with Honor Flight West Central Florida to host an Honor Flight At Home for all 120 Veterans at Lopez.  Each Veteran received an Honor Flight shirt and ballcap, watched a movie presentation of their War Memorials in Washington, D.C., received a "mail call" package, and received a warm welcome home as they exited the diningroom.  What a wonderful, emotional day for everyone!
