Operation P.E.A.C.E., INC.

Operation P.E.A.C.E., Inc. is a 30-year-old multi-service community development (501c3) organization located in the “Old Fourth Ward” area of downtown Atlanta that works with underserved seniors, adults, and children of the area. 

The majority of the clients we serve live in Bedford Pine Apartments (350+ unit low-income apartment complex), Cypress 595, (88-unit low-income apartment complex)   Station 464, (96-unit low-income apartment complex) Station 495/496, (123-unit low-income apartment complex) and City Lights Apartments (80-unit low-income apartment complex for seniors 62 and older)

P.E.A.C.E. is dedicated to addressing social, political and economic issues which have crippled the Bedford Pine Community by identifying needs, creating opportunities and empowering residents to solicit resources, thus promoting self-sufficiency, restoring hope and realizing possibilities.

 P.E.A.C.E. is dedicated to mobilizing the elderly citizens of our community, and accessing their knowledge of how life in the historic “Old Fourth Ward” once was, in order to utilize that knowledge as a stepping stone in preparing our community for the future.

 P.E.A.C.E. realizes that our children truly are the future. We are devoted to increasing their self-esteem by helping them develop positive self-images. Our youth programs include tutoring of basic skills and history, cultural enrichment and mentoring .

 P.E.A.C.E. is committed to improving literacy and building “life” skills of the parents and the working members of our community, so that they may improve the quality of their lives, thus improving the lives of their families.

 Most importantly, P.E.A.C.E. is dedicated to itself! We are building a foundation for generations to come. We hope that when we have gone, the children that we serve today will continue the legacy of P.E.A.C.E. tomorrow. 

 It is the mission of Operation P.E.A.C.E. to develop the community by empowering families to be self-sufficient by; developing literacy, vocational, and technical skills in adults; by nurturing entrepreneurial and leadership skills in our youth; and by reaching out to and encouraging our seniors to be active and remain a vital part of the community.
