MISSION: Support wounded, injured and ill service members, veterans, their caregivers and those that aid in their recovery by providing assistance and outreach in their recovery, comfort and morale, and through advocacy, education and promotion of their circumstances.
Our programs are designed to assist the service member lifelong in their recovery, from the moment they enter the hospital and as long as they need us once they have discharged from service. We understand that not all wounds or scars, mentally and physically, follow a set timeline so we are available to assist at any time regardless of how many years it has been since discharge. Our programs consist of providing comfort and morale items, financial assistance, peer mentorship, crisis care, case management, holiday cheer, morale boosting events, service animal support and more. No request is too small or too big. If we are unable to provide assistance we will do our best to help the individual locate a program or nonprofit that can.
Who do we serve? For the majority of our programs we provide assistance nationwide to post 9/11 wounded, injured and ill (WII) service members, veterans, their caregivers and those that aid in their recovery with an honorable discharge status. Injuries do not need to be combat related and generally must be equivalent to a 60% or higher service connection through the Department of Veteran Affairs. Our Honor & Courage Hotline is available to ALL era Veterans and their loved ones. Additionally, on a case-by-case basis we can provide assistance to those who fall outside our general criteria, including supporting contractors who were injured in a theater of operations overseas or Desert Storm era Veterans.
