Opportunity Village Foundation

Opportunity Village was founded in 1954 by seven families who were determined to give their children with intellectual disabilities the best lives possible.  Now, more than 60 years later, Opportunity Village continues to thrive with the help of our volunteers, sponsors and community support.

As Nevada's largest employer of people with disabilities, Opportunity Village provides support for more than 3,000 people annually through vocational training, employment, habilitation, and social recreation programs - helping make their lives more independent and fulfilling.

Opportunity Village’s clients, who were previously considered "unemployable," now work at one of Opportunity Village's four Employment Resource Centers, Thrift Store, or are placed in jobs throughout the community.

OV clients are hard-working, diligent people who tell jokes and laugh, give back to the community, take part in recreational activities, sing, dance, and paint.  They are happy to lead more fulfilling lives. 

Along with serving adults with intellectual disabilities, Opportunity Village hosts some of the most popular fundraising events in all of Las Vegas, including The Magical Forest and The Las Vegas Great Santa Run.
