Options Inc

For more than four decades. Options, Inc. has helped hundreds of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities develop workplace skills, find jobs, and fully participate in their community. We also serve as a place for adults to receive personalized care during the day. Options, Inc. is a private, nonprofit and serves people with a wide range of abilities and interests. We do everything we can to support individualized, person-centered services bot in and outside of Options, Inc. 

We are committed to empowering and supporting adults with disabilities in living and working in the mainstream of community life.

Countless studies have shown that being outside is good for your overall health. Time spent outdoors enhances self-esteem and mood and improves cognitive function and memory-related abilities, to name a few of the many known benefits. That's one of the reasons Options, Inc. decided to develop a new outdoor space at our campus in Big Lake., known as "Outside Options". As we planned this space we considered design elements that will enrich the outdoor space for everyone. We created an accessible layout that benefits all types of users, with different areas designed for eating, recreation and relaxation. 

Through generous donations we have been able to compete work on the wide, flower lined walkways, a bocce court, and green space. We still have plenty of work to complete this project and our hope is to add a music sound garden, raised bed planters, outdoor seating, and a large gazebo to hold art classes and yoga, providing shelter from the sun and rain.  We have plenty of work to do to achieve our final goal and we hope we can count on our community to help us get there!
