Orphan Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Inc

Founded in 2008, OARS began as a small group of foster volunteers who were passionate about helping pets with a second chance at happiness. Many shelters were overcrowded, and forced to euthanize for space. OARS wanted to help give those pets another opportunity to find a forever home. OARS is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer-driven animal rescue in Neenah, WI. We have a small network of pet lovers who takes in abandoned, neglected and/or abused homeless animals, primarily from other rescues and shelters. Dogs are fostered in private homes, and many of the adoptable cats call our Adoption Center home until they find their person.

OARS is different than many other animal welfare organizations in that cats at the Adoption Center are not living in cages. Rather, these cats have the full run of a room, complete with sunshine to doze in, cozy kitty beds, and scratching posts. 
Our volunteers give them plenty of love, too. While the Adoption Center is almost as good as a home of their own, we are committed to finding a person (or family) for each animal in our care so they have a forever home of their own. Providing quality care for these pets in a homelike environment is important to us. We have an adoptor screening and application process, and seek to make a lifetime match for both person and adoptable pet.
