Outloud Dallas

OutLoud – making Dallas a place where youth are seen and heard.  

Our programs bring youth together from diverse neighborhoods across the city, using the transformative power of art to bridge divides, enhance social emotional learning, and provide opportunities for them to share their voices. Our ultimate goal is for Dallas young people to thrive as creative, confident changemakers in our community.  

We offer free arts programs for middle and high school students at our 6,000 sq. foot youth arts center, as well throughout the city at community partner sites such as the Latino Cultural Center, the Bath House Cultural Center, and Uplift Education. Teenagers in the program work with local artists to create public exhibitions that share their perspectives on the issues that impact them most.  

Our Discovery Journeys program provides Dallas youth with opportunities to connect with nature, expand their horizons, and cultivate critical social emotional and leadership skills. Youth in cohort groups build community as they embark on outdoor adventures together throughout the year. The program culminates with a capstone experience in an out-of-state national park where participants kayak, camp, hike, and explore a new environment.
