We know that gay and transgender people in Nebraska do not feel safe. Many have moved away to receive the protection and care that they need. OutNebraska wants to change this.

For more than 10 years OutNebraska has been working to improve the lives of gay and transgender people. We believe advocacy will be the key to creating a safer place for all Nebraskans. Individual donations completely fund all of our advocacy work which makes Give OUT Day vital to our mission. This year with a successful Give OUT Day campaign we will:

1. Advocate for reform, connecting with local and state representatives, encouraging civic engagement, and making investments for the betterment of our communities.

AND

2. Organize another round of deep conversations in Lincoln, Nebraska. These conversations train canvassers to listen deeply during face-to-face discussions about our transgender neighbors. This process helps change the hearts and minds of people.
