HELP BRING INCLUSIVE RECREATION TO NORTHWEST ARKANSAS!
Ozark Adaptive Sports Association (OZASA) is a nonprofit organization that benefits people with physical disabilities in the Greater Northwest Arkansas area who wish to stay physically active. In the weeks and months following diagnosis of severe illness or injury, people are often left wondering: What now? Our goal at OZASA is to find these individuals and show them what IS possible by getting them back on the move and physically active. We strive to build an inclusive community for people with disabilities and offer opportunities for them to compete in sports and have FUN!
Due to the costs of equipment as an adaptive sports program, we try to offer as much program starting equipment as possible to give people the chance to experience the activities. Adaptive sports equipment can cost hundreds to thousands of dollars for the individual, and it is not covered by insurance. We see this barrier for our potential participants and want to be sure to remove it.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND DONATE TODAY!
Support our cause to acquire essential equipment, enabling us to expand our programs and reach more individuals!
Another nonprofit is dissolving, leaving us with the opportunity to obtain valuable equipment—an adaptive mountain bike, 11 adaptive road bikes, and a bigger trailer, normally totaling $50,000 if we were to purchase this equipment today.
Fortunately, we can secure these assets for $22,000!
To make this happen, we need your support to cover costs from our surplus.
Currently, Northwest Arkansas lacks an organization like ours, leaving Fayetteville, Springdale, Lowell, Rogers, Springdale Bentonville, Bella Vista, Fort Smith, and surrounding cities underserved. Leaving around 457,332 people without access to adaptive recreational programming. The closest adaptive recreational organizations are still 2-5 hours away, leaving many people without access.
Let’s strengthen our organization that is in their backyard! Daily, we connect with people of all ages with various physical disabilities eager to engage in active lifestyles.
Your donation today directly impacts the lives of those affected by disability in our community. Which is 1 in 3 in Northwest Arkansas!
Let's demonstrate that Northwest Arkansas is an inclusive, accessible community, working together to enhance our region. Your contribution will create a lasting effect, reaching generations to come. We have a long way to go, but with your help, we’ll get there!
